Peace of mind for pet owners with Pet Guardian Programme

The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) held a coffee morning in Mullingar last week to mark the nationwide launch of the Pet Guardian Programme.

Cruffs and Scruffs Dog Show and Summer Fete

North West SPCA, which is a registered charity based in Ballina, but which works throughout Mayo and the north west, is organising a Cruffs and Scruffs Dog Show and Summer Fete. The event will take place on Sunday August 26 from 12 noon to 6pm, at Rehins, Ballina, close to Hotel Ballina.

Loughrea Dog Show takes place in aid of GSPCA and EGAR on Sunday

The Loughrea Dog show will take place from 1pm to 5pm at the Temperance Hall on Sunday August 19. The show, which will be judged by Professor Gerard Fleming, promises to be a fun-filled day for all the family.

Mayo SPCA are looking for caring homes for their rescued animals, some of which are shown here but others can be seen on their web site www.mayospca.com. GSPCA getting two calls a day about starving horses

The Galway Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals have been receiving on average two calls a day regarding abandoned, starving, and neglected horses throughout the county.
